I got this to inflate my snowblower tires, that had gone flat. Inflated them in no time. Then a light came on the dash in my wife's new car - tire inflation monitor - did that too. And then my son brought his basketball over, etc. It's just so easy to use and convenient.

After much research for a 120V inflator, I found this one, which seemed to have no competitors at its price point. I discovered that while the unit is lightweight and easy to use, it is sufficient only for the lightest of duties. This is primarily due to a poorly designed nozzle, which is very difficult to disconnect. This prevents use of the inflator for any moderately high-pressure application (such as 100 psi bicycle tires) because it takes too long to disconnect after pumping, thus allowing air to escape. The unit is barely powerful enough to reach 100 psi anyway, even without the nozzle problem. Also, the unit's visibly cheap construction suggests to me I'll be looking for a replacement sooner than I'd like.

As indicated above, the product works well and is portable. However, the gauge reads about 5 lbs higher than the actual air pressure. The air pressure is cross checked using another gauge.

I find it convenient to be able to check/adjust tire pressures at home rather than at the gas station. This inflator really does serve the purpose. The built-in gauge is wildly inaccurate, and useful only for ball-parking pressures.

The connection to the tire valve stem cannot be released without losing air from the tire do to the poor fit. You must over inflate and hope to end up with the desired air pressure after disconnecting the inflator.
