In 1925, Gus Benner and Rollie Nawman foounded a company in Oakland, California specializing in sheet metal fabrication. When the Pacific Bell Telephone and Telegraph Company, of San Francisco, needed to construct their first phone booths in 1950, they called Benner Nawman.

But while it's primary business was in the telephone industry, Benner Nawman had begun relations with the Ishihara Company in Japan, which specializes in the manufacturing of rebar benders and rebar cutters. Today, Benner Nawman is the Ishihara Company's #1 distributer to contractors and construction workers in North America.
Throughout the years plenty has changed at Benner Nawman, but the core of their business belief remains the same: supplying their customers with high-quality, affordable products so that they can perform their work more efficiently, and in less time.
