In 1925, Gus Benner and Rollie Nawman foounded a company in Oakland, California specializing in sheet metal fabrication. When the Pacific Bell Telephone and Telegraph Company, of San Francisco, needed to construct their first phone booths in 1950, they called Benner Nawman.
For the next 50 years, Benner Nawman sold hundreds of thousands of telephone booths and accessories in the US, and over 40 countries worldwide. But while it's primary business was in the telephone industry, Benner Nawman had begun relations with the Ishihara Company in Japan, which specializes in the manufacturing of rebar benders and rebar cutters. Today, Benner Nawman is the Ishihara Company's #1 distributer to contractors and construction workers in North America.
